Aberdeen Standard & Hammerson’s £1.1 Bn new build retail and residential extension and refurbishment.
David was second lead Project Manager. Based in the Client’s office he prepared and ran monthly Client reporting, managed workshops and DTMs, VE, BIM, BREEAM and Nett Positive deliverables. He managed the delivery of the technical aspects of the Agreement for Lease both for M&S’ new store and TfL’s new bus station. Coordinated with the D&B contractor’s design manager, he managed the whole project design team implementing coordination and cost management through design change control procedures. Managed the statutory compliance of both planning and Building Regulations including the Fire Safety Strategy. Managed the design team and the contractor on project programme. He also coordinated with both the Early Works and the centre refurbishment and coordinated workstage design completeness, VE and RFIs both with the DT and with Laing’s design manager. David oversaw the subcontracts’ package procurement and detailed design resolution, interfacing with the Client’s in house team, their various stakeholders and the development director responsible. (Project deferred in July 2018.)
